The Boston Diaspora Ventures LLC (the "BDV") is a Massachusetts Limited Liability Company that was organized by Jamaican Expatriates living in the Boston area. The purpose of BDV is to serve as a vehicle to organize private capital and make investments in Jamaican industry. The formation of BDV was inspired by Dr. Kenneth I. Guscott, the Jamaican Honorary Consul for the Boston area. Dr. Guscott is a well regarded entrepreneur who has repeatedly espoused the view that Jamaican expatriates should take a lead role in making investments in Jamaican industry to create jobs and wealth for other Jamaicans. With that theme, Dr. Guscott brought together a core group of Jamaicans to identify suitable investment opportunities in Jamaica.
